Empathy and Resilience: Keynotes from a Journey in Entrepreneurial Speaking : From Hungary, Ljubjlana to Paris

The Power of Sharing Experience

One of the most rewarding aspects of being an entrepreneur and business trainer is the chance to impart my knowledge to eager innovators worldwide. An memorable engagement took me to the heart of Europe – Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I spoke to a group of entrepreneurs dedicated to tackling climate change. This opportunity come through a connection with Robert Slavec, the brains behind MyWater, a pioneering initiative in sustainable water consumption.

Crafting Resilient Business Strategies

During my talk in Ljubljana, the focus was on “Building a Resilient Business Plan.” Drawing from my own trials and tribulations in the world of innovation, I shared the hard-earned insights and the resilience business models I developed. Business Accelerators often provide a nurturing environment, yet sometimes they miss the mark on real-world application. This gap is where my insights resonate the most, powering them with practicality into their entrepreneurial dreams.

Confronting Potential Failures with Simple Honesty

Honesty about the setbacks in my own business journey laid the foundation for an open dialogue about the potential pitfalls in the entrepreneurs’ “Route to Revenue.” We didn’t just identify these challenges; we delved into the ‘why’ to understand them better. This wasn’t an exercise in pessimism but a strategic move towards realism.

Turning Challenges into Stepping Stones

The latter part of our session pivoted towards finding swift and pragmatic solutions. Witnessing the transformation in the attendees’ confidence was a testament to the power of embracing resilience.

Fostering Growth through Personalized Coaching

Post-training, I had the privilege of working closely with Robert and Aljaz Slavec to navigate the complexities of their business model and product commercialization. The success of this intensive coaching was later evident at the Viva Technology Paris conference, a pivotal moment that led to a significant joint venture. While there, we were invited to the residence of the Slovenian Ambassador to France for an evening reception – a great honour indeed.

The Entrepreneurial Ripple Effect

The essence of entrepreneurship is creating opportunities through relentless determination. It was nothing short of inspiring to witness the growth of the Slavec duo, not just in their business but in their contribution to societal betterment.
